Grand!

Day 7 – Grand Canyon to Williams, AZ

Really, words shouldn’t attempt to describe the beauty, so I will just give you a bit of the story. I did make it out to the rim about 30 minutes after sunrise, and was happy I didn’t wake earlier. The light continued to get better as each minute passed, and between the wind and 37 degree morning, I realized that gloves would have been a bonus.

After breakfast, a hike into the canyon. (Yes, somehow I got off the main trail, and shimmied around a few boulders before realizing the error of my lack-of-ways.)

Williams, AZ – A 66 dedicated town.

Eventually, we made it back to Williams for a brief walk-about for more photo ops and dinner at Cruiser’s 66 – a shared meal of  thick slice bbq brisket and locally-brewed beer.
